The Esports World Cup (EWC) is a particularly strong example of these challenges. For the first time since its creation, the event, traditionally held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was hosted at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles for seven weeks, bringing together more than 2,000 players from over 100 countries across 24 games and numerous tournaments.

Each space required furniture suited to its specific purpose, including reception areas, lounges, networking spaces, hospitality areas, and partner spaces.
Comfortable armchairs, chairs, and sofas, along with functional tables and high tables, helped structure the different areas while facilitating visitor flow and ensuring a comfortable experience.
The high volume of visitors and extended use of the spaces also required careful consideration of comfort, furniture durability, as well as the logistical constraints associated with installation and dismantling.
Flexibility and Aesthetic Consistency
The furniture also contributed to the event’s visual identity, integrating seamlessly into the overall design without competing with screens, branding elements, or competition areas.

An Event with Exceptional Requirements
The EWC 2026 represented a particularly demanding project for the event industry. Over seven weeks, competitions, entertainment, and community spaces had to coexist within the same environment.
Originally held in Riyadh, the event was relocated to Paris amid a regional geopolitical context that required large-scale reorganization. This first Paris edition called for rapid adaptation while maintaining the high standards expected of an international event of this scale.
GL events Mobilier managed and deployed the event furniture, drawing on its expertise, responsiveness, and ability to adapt to the project’s specific requirements.
Our Furniture Solution
GL events Mobilier provided continuous on-site support throughout the event. Five weeks of preparation and deliveries ahead of the event, followed by ongoing deliveries throughout the competition to respond in real time to the needs of teams and individual spaces. In total, 28 semi-trailer truckloads were delivered to bring the various event spaces to life.
From gaming areas to catering spaces, as well as VIP and media areas and the many partner booths, every space was designed to combine functionality, comfort, and visual identity.

- Crowd flow management: more than 1,000 stanchions installed throughout the event to facilitate and secure visitor circulation
